MAYOR'S REPORT A. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE This Ordinance deletes the Class "C" liquor license issued to Phar Mor, 1050 South EImhurst Road, which h~s gone out of business, and creates a Class "R" liquor license for Martinelli's, 1944 W. ZBA 31-SU-93 and ZBA 32-V-93, 1710 Estates Drive 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE AND VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS ~, 1710 ESTATES DRIVE This Ordinance grants a Special Use to allow a garage designed to house more than 2 vehicles and a variation to allow a driveway with a maximum width of 31 feet, instead of 21 feet. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit B) ~ B. ZBA 33-V-93, 717 N. Forest Avenue 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 717 NORTH FOREST AVENUE This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a driveway with a width of 28 feet, instead of 21 feet. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit C) ZBA 35-SU-93, 400 East Gregory Street (Christian Life Church & College) 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4465, GRANTING A SPECIAL USE IN THE NATURE OF A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR THE CHRISTIAN LiFE CHURCH AND COLLEGE This Ordinance grants an amendment to the existing Planned Unit Development granted to the church property and allows a chapel with a seating capacity of 532. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit D) D. ZBA 38-V-93, 402 South Busse Road 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 402 SOUTH BUSSE ROAD This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a driveway width of 32 feet, instead of 21 feet, to permit a parking pad/turn around apron. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit E) E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A MODIFICATION FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ESTATES OF MARCELLA SUBDIVISION This Ordinance grants a modification from the Development Code Code (Chapter 16) to allow the width of the new roadway width to taper from 67.11 feet to 45 feet. The Plan Commission recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit F) F. STERGIOS PLAT OF SUBDIVISION 'lst reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A MODIFICATION FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE STERGIOS SUBDIVISION This Ordinance grants modifications from the Development Code relative to lot depth, fight-of-way width, sidewalk width, and installation of curbl gutter and paved street on the east side of Marcella. (Exhibit G) G. MILLERS STATION SUBDIVISION (Kimball Hill) . f 1. This Plat of Subdivision creates the property lines r_r_r_~uired in order to construction 9 single family homes and ~townhomes.. The Plan Commission recommended approval of this subdivision by a vote of 6-0. 2. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A MODIFICATION FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE (CHAPTER 16) FOR MILLERS STATION SUBDIVISION The Petitioner is requesting a modifications from the Development Code (Chapter 16) to waive the required public sidewalk on the east side of Millers Lane and Cathy Lane, and to allow modifications from the slope requirements on the retention basins. (Exhibit H) H. COURTS OF HILL STREET SUBDIVISION 1. This Plat of Subdivision creates one lot of record in order to construction 11 townhomes. The Plan Commissiort recommended approving this subdivision by a vote of 6-O. 3. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN This Ordinance amends the Comprehensive Plan to reflect multi-family dwelling units (townhomes) rather than the existing commercial use. The Plan Commission recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0 (Exhibit J) X. NEW BUSINESS A. ZBA 40-V-93, 2004 East Woodview The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow interior side yards of 2' 10" on the west and 3' on the east, in order to construct handicap ramps onto a deck. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0. B. ZBA 44-V-93, 628 Sob-O-Link The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow a front yard setback of 20 feet, instead of the required minimum 30 feet, in order to allow an existing porch to remain. Also requested is a variation to allow a second driveway to be added off Forest Avenue. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0. The Zoning Beard of Appeals recommended granting 'this request by a vote of 6-0. D. ZBA 50-V-93, 2, 4 and 6 North Albert Street The Petitioner is requesting variations to allow a 20 feet front yard . setback, instead of the required 30 feet, and to allow a rear yard setback of 8 feet, instead of the required 25 feet, in order to construction a 2-car garage for this townhouse. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended denying this request by a vote of 3-3. E. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A MEMORANDUM ,' OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT AND COOK COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH This Resolution authorizes entering into an agreement relative to investigations of food borne illness.
