Emerson St., Mount Prospect IL 60056 L Call to Order: by Chairman Skip Farley at 5:44 p.m. IL Roll Call: Skip Farley, John Eilering, Paula Randant, George Busse, Mayor Arlene A. Juracek and Georgia Mitchell were in attendance. III. Approval of Minutes: Minutes of January 5, 2015 were approved on a motion by Paula Randant and seconded by John Eilering. The working summary of the meeting of February 2, at which there was non -quorum, were recognized and reviewed. IV. Citizens to be Heard: none V. Old Business: A. Paula Randant outlined the list of German cities potentially interested in becoming a sister city with Mount Prospect from Taylor Woodruff (Membership Coordinator, Sister Cities International). The cities listed include: Norderstedt, Luneberg, Kulmbach, Stade and Ahrensborg. All five are of relatively similar size to Mount Prospect and are interested in forming a Sister Cities relationship in the United States. The comparison of cities is included as Appendix A. B. Georgia Mitchell will determine if there are Bosch facilities located in any of the cities and include that information in the comparison. VI. New Business: A. The committee gave a final review to the Sister Cities Commission Structure, which was accepted by the committee. These revisions will be added to the existing ordinance. Mayor Arlene Juracek noticed a slight omission in the Commission Structure document, which she will correct and re -distribute to the Subcommittee. VII. Other Business A. Potential Commission member visits to Germany were briefly discussed and it was agreed that the decision on who and when a visit might be made to Germany would be determined once contact has been made with the German City Mayor. B. Attendees discussed the documentation that was made available by Paula Randant from Taylor Woodruff and agreed that along with the meeting minutes, the acting secretary would create a comparison chart of the five cities and distribute it with the minutes. The Subcommittee members will review and comment to Skip Farley through email in order to move the process along. Georgia Mitchell will determine whether there is a Bosch facility near or in any of the cities that are being considered. C. Mayor Juracek has contacted Bosch to request a new Bosch representative to participate in this process. VIII. Next Meeting will be held on March 30, at 5:45 p.m. at the Mount Prospect Pubic Library.
