C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF
THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance deletes the Class '%" liquor license issued to
Midwest Liquors dba Ben's Cut Rate Liquors and Village Inn Pub,
1803 West Algonquin Road, which establishments are closed. (Exhibit A)

A. ZBA 58-V-93, 423 South Pine Street
2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 423 SOUTH PINE STREET
This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a six foot service
walk to encroach into the side yard. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-1. (Exhibit B)
B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE
(CHAPTER 18) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance authorizes amendments to Chapter 18 to create
STOP signs for northbound traffic On Douglas Avenue at Lincoln
Street; for northbound traffic on Craig Court at Lincoln Street; and,
for northbound traffic on Leonard Lane at Lincoln Street and to
reduce the speed limit on local streets within the Brentwood
Subdivision from 30 MPH to 25 MPH. The Safety Commission
recommended granting these requests by votes of 8-0. (Exhibit C)
C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE
(CHAPTER 18) OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance establishes the following traffic regulations around
Lions Park Elementary School:
1, Establish One-Way Street for northbound traffic on
School Street between the hours of 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM
and 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM
2. Prohibit parking on CoUncil Trail during school hours on
Council Trail between Elm and School Streets and
establishing that area as a school bus loading/unloading
zone.
The Safety Commission recommended these amendments
by a vote of 8-0. (Exhibit D)
X. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 62-V-93, 950 North Elmhurst Road & 150 West Rand Road
The Petitioner is.seeking a variation to allow 109 parking spaces,
instead of the minimum 132 required, for this office building. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by
a vote of 6-0.
B. ZBA 63-V-93, 300 South George Street
The Petitioner is seeking a variation to allow a driveway width of 21 feet,
rather than the maximum 15 feet. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0.
C.' ZBA 66-SU-93, 740 East Rand Road
The Petitioner is requesting an amendment to the Planned Unit
Development for this property to delete the self-storage facility
previous approved and to permit an enclosed outside storage area
for building materials as an accessory use for Menard's Home
Improvement Center, the proposed new owner of the existing
Courtesy Home Center building. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0.
D: 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED
"ZONING" IN ITS ENTIRETY
This Ordinance adopts the newly revised Zoning Ordinance. (Exhibit E)
E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE
BY DELETING CHAPTER 15 "LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS"
~ This Ordinance deletes Chapter 15 in its entirety and places the
"Landscaping Requirements" within Chapter 14 (Zoning). (Exhibit F)
F. 1st reading of an ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
PERSONAL PROPERTY OVVNED BY THE VILLAGE
This Ordinance repeals Ordinance No. 4580 and establishes
the date of October 23, 1993 for the Northwest Municipal
Conference auction of vadous vehicles. The date was
changed by the Conference from October 9th to the 23rd. (Exhibit G)
G. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE IV OF
CHAPTER 10 OF THE VILLAGE CODE
This Ordinance amends Chapter 10 to allow a licensed
business to remain open during the time the President and
Board of Trustees are considering action to revoke that
particular business license. (Exhibit H)
