1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR
PROPERTIES COMMONLY KNOWN AS 950 N~ ELMHURST ROAD
AND 150 W. RAND ROAD
This Ordinance grants a variation to allow 109 parking spaces,
instead of the minimum 132 required, for this office building.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request
by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit A)
B. ZBA 63-V-93, 300 South George Street
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 300 SOUTH GEORGE ST.
This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a driveway width of 21 feet,
rather than the maximum 15 feet. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit B)
C. ZBA 66-SU-93, 740 East Rand Road
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4142
AUTHORIZING A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 740 EAST RAND ROAD
This Ordinance amends the PUD governing the Courtesy Home
Center property by deleting the self-storage facility and permitting
an enclosed outside storage area for building materials as an
accessory use for Menard's Home Improvement Center. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by
a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit C)
D. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED
"ZONING" IN ITS ENTIRETY
This Ordinance adopts the newly revised Zoning Ordinance. (Exhibit D)
E. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE
BY DELETING CHAPTER 15 "LANDSCAPING REQUIREMENTS"
This Ordinance deletes Chapter 15 in its entirety and places the
"Landscaping Requirements" within Chapter 14 (Zoning). (Exhibit E)
X. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 68-V-93, 1400 East Central, St. Emily Padsh
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to increase the existing
lot coverage of 60.6% to 61.2% for an addition to the school.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this
request by a vote of 5-0, with one abstention.
B. ZBA 69-V-93, 1745 Verde Ddve
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow a 775 square
foot garage, instead of the permitted 600 square feet, in order
to allow an addition to the garage for storage. The Zoning
Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by
a vote of 6-0.
C. ZBA 73-V-93, 904 South Owen Street
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow a ddveway width
of 22 feet, instead of the maximum 15 feet, in order to provide
for a parking pad. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended
granting this request by a vote of 6-0.
D. Christian Life College, 400 East Gregory Street
Request for modification from the Development Code to waive
the requirement for sidewalks to be installed on Rand Road.
The Plan Commission recommended granting this request.
E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NO. 7
This Ordinance proposes the creation of a Special Service Area
to fund specified services as well as giving notice of a Public
Headng on this subject for October 5, 1993. (Exhibit F)
F. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION BE
SUBMITI'ED TO THE NORTHWEST MUNICIPAL CONFERENCE
FOR SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDING FOR
THE LINNEMAN ROAD IMPROVEMENT
This Resolution authorizes an application be submitted to
the Northwest Municipal Conference for funding the Linneman
Road improvement. (Exhibit G)

A. Request to amend the contract with Glenbrook Excavating by
increasing the cost of the Des Plaines River backwater control
valve project by $19,484.00.
