A. ZBA 66-SU-93, 740 East Rand Road
2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINA~ICE NO. 4142
AUTHORIZING A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT FOR
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS 740 EAST RAND ROAD
This Ordinance amends the PUD governing the Courtesy Home
Center property by deleting the self-storage facility and permitting
an enclosed outside storage area for building materials as an
accessory use for Menard's Home l[]~rovement Center. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by
a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit A)
B. ZBA 68-V-93, 1400 East Central, St. Emily Parish
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR
PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS ST. EMILY SCHOOL
This Ordinance grants a variation to increase the existing lot
coverage of 60.6% to 61.2% for an addition to the school.
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this
request by a vote of 5-0, with one abstention. (Exhibit B)
C. ZBA 69-V-93, 1745 Verde Drive
1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1745 VERDE DRIVE
This Ordinance grants a variation to allow a 775 square
foot garage, instead of the permitted 600 square feet, in order
to allow an addition to the garage for storage. The Zoning
Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by
a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit C)
D. ZBA 73-V-93, 904 South Owen Street
With the adoption of the new Zoning Ordinance, the variation
requested in this case is no longer necessary, therefore, the
Petitioner has withdrawn his request.
E. Christian Life College, 400 East Gregory Street
1. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A
MODIFICATION FROM THE DEVELOPMENT CODE
FOR PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOVVN AS CHRISTIAN
LIFE COLLEGE, 400 EAST GREGORY STREET
This Ordinance grants a modification from the Development
Code to waive the requirement for sidewalks to be installed
on Rand Road. The Plan Commission recommended
granting this request. (Extiibit D)
2. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A RESTRICTIVE COVENANT
FOR CHRISTIAN LIFE COLLEGE
The Restrictive Covenant authorized by this Resolution
guarantees the installation of these sidewalks at some
futura date, to be determined by the Village. (Exhibit E)
F. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF SPECIAL SERVICE AREA NO. 7
This Ordinance proposes the creation of a Special Service Area
to fund specified services as well as giving notice of a Public
Hearing on this subject for October 5, 1993. (Exhibit F)
G. PUBLIC HEARING
This Public Hearing, celled pursuant to proper legal notice having
been published in the Mount Prospect Herald on September 16, 1993,
is the purpose of considering the creation of Special Service
Area No. 7.
X. NEW BUSINESS
A. ZBA 76-V-93, 601 North Main Street (Moose Lodge)
The Petitioner is requesting a variation to allow the existing
parking lot to be removed and replaced 2 feet from the right-of-way
along Main Street and Highland Avenue, instead of the required
30 feet; to allow the interior lot line to be within 2 feet, instead of
the required 30 feet; and, to allow a ten foot separate between
this commercial zone and residential (Maple Street townhomes).
The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting these
variations by a vote of 6-0.
B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A RECAPTURE
AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS
ORCHARD FIELD SUBDIVISION (Exhibit G)
C. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL
OF SURPLUS PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance authorizes the Village Manage to dispose of
miscellaneous office furniture and equipment no longer useful
to the Village. The Village Board recently authorized this
surplus property to be sold to the highest bidder, however, no
bids were received. A charitable organization has expressed
an interest in acquiring this property. (Exhibit H)
D. A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR THE REGULATION OF
BASIC SERVICE TIER RATES AND RELATED EQUIPMENT,
INSTALLATION AND SERVICE CHARGES OF ANY CABLE
TELEVISION SYSTEM OPERATING IN THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT (Exhibit J)
