OLD BUSINESS A. A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CITIZENS UTILITIES BOARD IN THEIR EFFORTS TO OVERTURN THE DECISION OF THE ILLINOIS COMMERCE COMMISSION RELATIVE TO THE CENTEI./SPRINT RATE INCREASE CASE (Exhibit A) IX. NEW BUSINESS A. ZBA 30-CU-94, 2312 Terminal Drive (Tank Farms) The Petitioner is requesting an amendment to the Planned Unit . Development governing the Tank Farms to permit a truck repair and maintenance shop. The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 4-1. B. ZBA 31-CU-94 and ZBA 32-V-94, 101 East Rand Road The Petitioner is requesting a Conditional Use to allow a ground- mounted radio tower exceeding 70 feet in height. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 3-1, with one abstention, to approve this request, however since the required 4 votes were not received the recommendation is to deny the request. C. Acknowledge additional appropriation of Community Development Block Grant Funds for the single family housing rehabilitation program. This appropriation of existing surplus funds will allow 9 applicants to participate in th.e program. D. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A CERTAIN QUESTION TO THE ELECTORS OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS Pursuant to a request of the Mount Prospect Public Library Board, this Ordinance authorizes a referendum question to be placed on the ballot for the November 8, 1994 election. (Exhibit B) E. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE XVI ENTITLED "UTILITY TAX" OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE VILLAGE CODE At the request of Northern Illinois Gas, the language pertaining to Utility Tax on natural gas is being amended. (Exhibit C) F. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF VILLAGE OWNED PROPERTY This Ordinance authorizes the sale of a 1982 ladder truck to the highest bidder. (Exhibit D) G. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR SALE OF WATER BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT TO '[HE CITY OF PROSPECT HEIGHTS This Resolution authorizes an Agreement to sell water to the City of Prospect Heights for municipal purposes. (Exhibit E) H. AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF VILLAGE OWNED PROPERTY THROUGH PUBLIC AUCTION This Ordinance authorizes the sale of various vehicles through public auction conducted by the Northwest Municipal Conference. Exhibit F) K. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 (ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DEALERS) This Ordinance amends the Village Code as it relates to alcoholic beverages. (Exhibit G) X. VILLAGE MANAGER'S REPORT A. Bid Results: 1. Pine/Wille Infrastructure Improvements 2. Senior Center Parking Lot Improvement B. Extend contract with Prospect Auto Body for towing services C. Request from the Police Department to waive bidding procadura in order to purchase a mobile data terminal from Motorola, which is specialized equipment. D. Status Report Xl. TRUSTEE COMMENTS XlI.
