Minutes of the Meeting
October 24, 2013

1. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:22p.m. Those present included Acting
Chairman John Kellerhals and Commissioners Jim Gregory, Tom Pekras and Don
Ocwieja. Chairman Vince Grochocinski and Commissioner Pam Bazan were
absent. Staff members in attendance were Michael Janonis, Village Manager,
David Strahl, Assistant Village Manager, David Erb, Finance Director, Lynn
Jarog, Assistant Finance Director, Mike Semkiu, Police Chief, John Wagner,
Deputy Police Chief, Mike Eterno, Commander, Tim Griffin, Sergeant, Sean
Dorsey, Public Works Director, and Jason Leib, Deputy Public Works Director.
II. Approval of Minutes
There were no minutes to approve.
III. Citizens to be Heard
There were not any citizens to be heard.
IV. Review of the Proposed 2014 Village Board
a. Chief Mike Semkiu presented the Police Department budget and
accomplishments.
b. Director Sean Dorsey presented the Public Works budget and
accomplishments.
c. Village Manager Mike Janonis presented the Village Administration
budget.
d. Finance Director Dave Erb presented the Finance and Non-Departmental
budgets.
V. Chairman's Report
There was no Chairman's Report.
VI. Finance Director's Report
Director Dave Erb presented three street funding alternatives to address the
annual program shortfall and resurfacing backlog. The Finance Commission will
study the alternatives and during the November 7th meeting and choose one to
recommend to the Village Board.

VII. Any Other Business
There was not any other business.
VIII. Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013, 7:OOP.M. at
Village Hall.
IX. Adjournment
Commissioner Pekras motioned to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Gregory
seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 9:50 P.M.
