B. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13
This Ordinance deletes the Class "R" liquor license granted
to Giordano's Restaurant, 820 East Rand Road, due to the fact that
the business has been closed more than the permitted time allowed. (Exhibit A)

This Public Hearing, called pursuant to proper legal notice having
been published in the Mount Prospect Herald on December 9, 1994,
is for the purpose of presenting the 1994 tax levies.

1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR
FAIRVIEW SCHOOL LOCATED AT 300 NORTH FAIRVlEW
This Ordinance grants a variation to permit parking within the required
front yard for the new Fairview Elementary School. The Zoning Board
of Appeals recommended granting this request by a vote of 5-0 with
one abstention. (Exhibit F)
G. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE VACATING PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED AT 207 MOEHLING DRIVE
This Ordinance authorizes the vacation of both improved and
unimproved right-of-way generally located at 207 Moehling Drive. (Exhibit G)
H. ZBA 47-Z-94 and ZBA 48-V-94, 300 East Council Trail
1. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Ordinance rezones a portion of the subject property
from C-R (Conservation/Recreation) to R-1 permitting the
construction of a new Lions Park Elementary School. The
Zoning Board of Appeals recommended granting this request
request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit H)
2. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION
FOR LIONS PARK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, LOCATED
AT 300 EAST COUNCIL TRAIL
This Ordinance grants a variation to permit parking within
the front yard setback. The Zoning Board of Appeals
recommended granting this request by a vote of 6-0. (Exhibit J)
3. Lions Park School Plat of Consolidation
I. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18
(TRAFFIC CODE)
This Ordinance amends Schedule XI (2 Hour Parking) to
include Emerson Street, between Berkshire and Council
Trail, and Schedule IV to include a STOP sign for southbound
traffic on Lavergne at Pheasant Trail. (Exhibit K)
IX. NEW BUSINESS
A. Safety Commission recommendations:
1. A request from a resident was considered to prohibit parking
on the 200 block of North Pine Street. Since a majodty
of residents on that block did not want parking restrictions,
the Safety Commission voted 8-0 to deny the request.
2. A request from residents was considered to install a STOP
sign on Audrey Lane at Gdndel Drive. By a vote of 8-0,
the Safety Commission voted to deny the requested
STOP sign.
3. A request from a resident was considered to install a STOP
sign at Wille and Thayer Streets. By a vote of 8-0, the
Safety Commission voted to install a YIELD sign at Wille
and Thayer Streets.
4. A request from the Brentwood Homeowners Association
was considered to prohibit parking on both sides of
Heritage Drive east of Wolf Road around the retention ponds.
By a vote of 8-0, the Safety Commission recommended
granting the request.
5. By a vote of 5-2 with one abstention, the Safety Commission
recommended amending the Village Code relative to voting
members on the Safety Commission, substituting a
representative from Public Works as a voting member, rather
than a member of Engineering.
B. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN
EASEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN COMMONWEALTH
EDISON AND THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
This Easement Agreement is in conjunction with the
proposed improvement of Linneman Road. (Exhibit L)
C. Request to accept improvements installed in conjunction with
the addition to the NBD Bank building at 1501 Lakeview Court.
