stated the Village has been buying virtual servers with shared storage disks in which these
storage sites retain data and copy it between the EOC and the Village Hall. Several storage
units are to be replaced in 2015 and the recent recommendation to upgrade to larger servers
is in response to the increased datathat is being retained by the Village.
She stated the Village regularly coordinates an annual records day which has helped manage
the number and sizes of files, but does not resolve the growing storage needs. She stated the
document storage server has increased indata storage by 70% since the village staff is using
more electronic files and not paper. The files tend to also be larger in size due to graphics.
