MINUTES
May 6, 2014

Chairperson Skowron called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Roll Call: Michaele Skowron, Chairperson
Mark Busse, Commissioner
James Powers, Commissioner
Jackie Hinaber, Commissioner
Also Present: Henry Dawson, Deputy Fire Chief
Brian Lambel, Battalion Chief
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct Fire Department new -hire oral interviews.
CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
No one in attendance.
CLOSED SESSION
A motion was made by Commissioner Hinaber and seconded by Commissioner M. Busse to go into Closed
Session at 5:33 p.m. under Personnel 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) - The appointment, employment, compensation,
discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body, including hearing testimony on a
complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity, to conduct Fire Department background
interviews.
Roll Call: Ayes: M. Busse, Hinaber, Powers, Skowron Nays: None Motion Carried
The Board reconvened with everyone present at 10:05 p.m.
Chairperson Skowron asked for a motion to approve the list of candidates who will be going on in the process
and to have the command staff notify all candidates as to whether they are part of the group going or not going
on.
A motion was made by Commissioner M. Busse and seconded by Commissioner Powers.
Roll Call: Ayes: M. Busse, Hinaber, Powers, Skowron Nays: None Motion Carried
Chairperson Skowron reminded everyone on May 20 George Busse will be recognized at the Village Board
meeting. The next meeting will be held on June 2 nd at 5:45 p.m. and police interviews are tentatively scheduled
for the end of July.
A motion was made by Commissioner M. Busse and seconded by Commissioner Powers to adjourn the meeting
at 10:28.
