HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 17-14 04/01/2014 Maintenance of Streets and Highways Under Illinois Highway CodeIllinois Department of Transportation BE IT RESOLVED, by the Village (City, Town or Village) appropriated the sum of Resolution for Maintenance of Streets and Highways by Municipality Under the Illinois Highway Code Mayor and Board of Trustees of the (Council or President and Board of Trustees) of Mount Prospect Illinois, that there is hereby (Name) $32,586.50 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for the purpose of maintaining streets and highways under the applicable provisions of the Illinois Highway Code from January 1, 2013 (Date) to December 31, 2013 (Date) BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that only those streets, highways, and operations as listed and described on the approved Municipal Estimate of Maintenance Costs, including supplemental or revised estimates approved in connection with this resolution, are eligible for maintenance with Motor Fuel Tax funds during the period as specified above. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk shall, as soon a practicable after the close of the period as given above, submit to the Department of Transportation, on forms furnished by said Department, a certified statement showing expenditures from and balances remaining in the account(s) for this period; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk shall immediately transmit two certified copies of this resolution to the district office of the Department of Transportation, at Schaumburg Illinois. This provides for the maintenance of varic:is municipal streets from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013 and apprc�.riates an additional $32,586.50 of Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Funds for the subject section(s). With the additional funds appropriated, a total of $631,952.50 of MFT Funds has been appropriated for the subject maintenance period. The authorization for expenditure of $32,586.50 for maintenance from the Village's Unobligated MFT Account is authorized and will be recorded on the next Monthly Allotment Notification Letter.
