Mount Prospect Village Hall

Call to Order 9:10 a.m.
Secretary's Report Minutes were sent to members but can not be approved due to lack of
quorum.
Citizens to Be Heard No citizens in attendance.
Financial Report Financial Report could not be accepted at this meeting. Discussion was held:
figures for the New Years Eve Eve a /k /a/ NYEE and Celestial Celebration changes daily; the
group doing fundraising is doing a great job.
Christkindle Market Event went well. Next year raffle off family of 4 tickets for NYEE event
winner must be present to accept prize. Other discussion included asking village about
reviewing the train schedule and moving lighting to 6:00 to get better crowd attendance. Also,
ask the Village to consider professional singers and adding Santa and Mrs. Claus.
New Year's Eve Eve On schedule with ticket sales. Teresa VanOpdorp will be creating a
Facebook Ad for the event and sending a flyer to local schools. Mount Prospect Park District
will be donating the ice cream and "fixings" excluding nuts. Volunteers are needed from
11:OOam until 2:30pm. Volunteers needing service hours will be credited for their time served.
House Decorating Teresa VanOpdorp will talk with Paul Seils and decide how to continue event
in Paul's absence.
Celestial Celebration Winners have not yet been chosen. Kathy Janonis has an idea for a
centerpiece that includes wine bottles. She will be talking to Paul Seils regarding this idea. Last
year "demands" will be talked about with representatives from Victoria in the Park Banquets in
early January. Teresa and Jill will work on seating.
