RESOLUTION NO.
73 - 88
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS IN
THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has entered its tenth
year as an entitlement community under the federal Community
Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, in the past nine years the Village has used these
funds to implement various projects that addressed the community
development and housing needs of its low and moderate income and
elderly residents, to reduce and prevent the occurrence of
deterioration in the Central Area of the Village, to increase
accessibility for the handicapped, and to address other community
needs in conformance with the objectives of the Community
Development Block Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, many of these projects have been completed, and
cancelled but still have balances in their accounts or not
brought forward from earlier funding year; and
WHEREAS, the Downtown Pub 1 ic Right-of-Way Improvements
project needs additional funds to finance prior street
improvements in the Downtown, and it is desirable to close out
older accounts and place their balances in FY-87 accounts; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 19, 1988 to
receive comments from the public on this matter; and
WHEREAS, the Plan Commission voted in favor of recommending
approval of this transfer
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect hereby approve the following transfer of
Community Development Block Grant funds in the following amounts
for a total transfer of $108,884.00

SECTION TWO: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village
of Mount Prospect hereby authorize the Village Manager to
transfer said funds.
SECTION THREE; This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner
provided by law.
