AN ORDINANCE AMENDING APPENDIX A, DIVISION II
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS ACTING IN THE EXERCISE
OF THEIR HOME RULE POWERS:
SECTION 1: Section 8.1802, "Tax Imposed" of Chapter 8 listed in Appendix A, Division
II "Fees, Rates and Taxes" of the Mount Prospect Village Code shall be deleted and amended
as follows:
CHAPTER 8 — VILLAGE GOVERNMENTAL MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS
Sec. 8.1802
Rate: $0.04 per gallon
SECTION 2: Section 17.103, "License Fees" of Chapter 17 listed in Appendix A,
Division II "Fees, Rates and Taxes" of the Mount Prospect Village Code shall be deleted in its
entirety and a new Section 17.103 shall be read as follows:
CHAPTER 17 - VEHICLE LICENSES
Section 17.103: LICENSE FEES:
A. First division vehicles, excluding motorcycles, motor driven cycles and motor bicycles:

The annual fee for a noncommercial vehicle license for a vehicle owned and operated by a
resident of age 65 or older shall be $12.00 in 2014 and $15.00 in 2015 and thereafter. Only one
age 65 or older rate per family shall be allowed. Additional vehicles shall be licensed at the rate
set forth above.
B. Motorcycles, motor driven cycles and motor bicycles:

a. A self - propelled vehicle operated as a tractor and 1 semi - trailer shall be considered as 1
vehicle in computing the above license fees, and no additional license fee shall be required for
said semi - trailer so used.

b. The owner of each vehicle who has elected to pay a mileage weight tax to the state of Illinois
shall be required to be licensed as provided in this chapter.
2. Motor buses with state of Illinois license plates designating "School Bus" owned and operated
by a commercial enterprise shall pay an annual fee of $12.00 in 2014 and $15.00 in 2015 and
thereafter for each such vehicle bearing said "School Bus" designation.
3. Motor buses with state of Illinois license plate designation "School Bus" owned and operated
by any governmental agency or not for profit organization shall have the annual license fee
waived.
4. A class W passenger automobile with state of Illinois license plate designation "CV" owned
and operated by any not for profit organization shall have the annual license fee waived;
provided, however, that not more than 1 such license fee shall be waived for said not for profit
organization in any given licensing year.
SECTION 3: Section 17.105, "Dealers' Licenses" of Chapter 17 listed in Appendix A,
Division II "Fees, Rates and Taxes" of the Mount Prospect Village Code shall be deleted in its
entirety and a new Section 17.105 shall be read as follows:
CHAPTER 17 - VEHICLE LICENSES
Section 17.105: DEALER'S LICENSES:
A. Annual fee: 2014 2015 2016 and Thereafter

SECTION 4: Paragraph A.12.a(1) of Section 19.202, "Regulations With Respect to
Consumers of Solid Waste Collection Services" of Chapter 19 listed in Appendix A, Division II
"Fees, Rates and Taxes" of the Mount Prospect Village Code shall be deleted in its entirety and
a new Paragraph A. 12.a(1) of Section 19.202 shall be and read as follows:
CHAPTER 19 — HEALTH REGULATIONS
Section 19.202: REGULATIONS WITH RESPECT TO CONSUMERS OF SOLID
WASTE COLLECTION SERVICES

SECTION 5 : That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
