CITIZENS TO BE HEARD
VICIOUS ANIMALS
Request to amend Chapter 20 of the Mount Prospect Village Code pertaining to animals deemed
vicious pursuant to the ordinance.
2014 ILLINOIS LEGISLATIVE UPDATES
As you know, in 2014 Illinois is facing several new pieces of legislation and statutory amendments that
will significantly affect Illinois law enforcement agencies. In an attempt to learn more about these new
laws command staff members have attended several seminars provided by the Illinois Chiefs of Police
Association and the Illinois State Police. The Police Department will present and review information on
the following new laws and amendments:
• Concealed Carry Act
• Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Pilot Program Act
• Temporary Visitor's Driver's Licenses
• The Prevention of Tobacco Use by Minors Act (Electronic Cigarettes

Appropriate staff will be in attendance to facilitate discussion on related issues as they apply to the
Village of Mount Prospect.
