2938
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE VILLAGE OF
MOUNT PROSPECT TRAFFIC CODE.
WHEREAS, the Public Health and Safety Committee
has recommended and the President and Board of Trustees
has concurred that the following amendments hsould be
made to the Village of Mount Prospect Traffic Code:
1.
That Highland Avenue should be a one-way
eastbound between Elm Street and Rand Road;
2.
That only right turns should be permitted
onto Rand Road for eastbound traffic on
Highland Avenue at its intersection with
Rand Road;
3.
That a five ton load shopld be placed on
Wheeling Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT,
COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE:
Schedule III of Article XX of
Chapter 18 (Traffic Code) of the Municipal Code of the
Village of Mount Prospect be, and the same is hereby,
amended by deleting the direction "Westbound" as it
appears in said Schedule under thehE:é'ldiJ:lg "Direction of
Traffic" and opposite the street Highland Avenue as it
appears in said Schedule and substituting therefor the
direction "Eastbound," opposite the street "Highland
Street" as it appears in said Schedule, so that the line
in said Schedule in which this said amendment is inserted
shall hereafter be and read as follows:

SEC'T'ION TwO:
Article VIII of Chapter 18 (Traffic
Code) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect
be, and the same is hereby amended, by adding thereto a new
Section 18.808, which said new Section 18.808 shall hereafter
be and read as follows:
Section 18.808. Restricted Intersection
Traffic Movements.
Where a sign is posted specifying restric-
tions on vehicular movements ,which are set

Chapter at intersections designated on
said Schedule XVII, it shall be unlawful
to operate a motor vehicle except as
specified on said sign.

Code) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect
be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding thereto a new
Schedule XVII, which said new Schedule XVII shall hereafter
be and read as follows:

SECTION FOUR:
Schedule XVI of Article XX of
Chapter 18 (Traffic Code) of the Municipal Code of the Village
of Mount Prospect be, and the same is hereby, amended by adding

to said Schedule under the column headed "Name of Street,"
the street "Wheeling Road" in its proper alphabetical
sequence, and under the colu.'Tln headed "Description of Pro-
hibition Thereon," the language "S-ton load limit" opposite
Wheeling Road, so that said addition to said Schedule shall
hereafter be and read as follows:

SECTION FIVE:
This Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage, approval and
publication in the manner provided by law.
