2941
AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING THE SALE OF PROPERTY
FROM THE BOARD OF LIBRARY DIRECTORS OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
WHEREAS, The Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect is the
owner of a parcel of real estate which is legally described on Exhibit A which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference (said parcel of real
estate shall be referred to hereinafter as the "Subject Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect is a duly organized and existing
municipal corporation within the County of Cook and State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
have determined that it is necessary and convenient for the Village of
Mount Prospect to use and occupy the Subject Property for proper public
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the President and °Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
desires that The Board of Library Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect
convey the Subject Property to the Village of Mount Prospect, pursuant to the
authority conferred by An Act in Relation of the Transfer of Real Estate Owned
by Municipalities, Ill.Rev .Stat., 1977, ch 30, Sees. 156-158a; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
desire to have the Subject Property conveyed to it to use for proper public
purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COtJNTY,ILtINOÎS:
SECTION ONE: The foregoing recitals are hereby incorporated herein as
findings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect.
SECTION TWO: The President and Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
be, and they are hereby authorized to accept and duly record in the Office of
the Recorder of Deeds or the Registrar of Titles, whichever is applicable, a deed
executed by the President and attested by the Secretary of The Board of Library
Directors of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois ,conveying the
Subj ect Property .
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law.
