ORDINANCE NO.
2950
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SPECIFIED
SECTIONS OF THE BUILDING CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
LHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
ount Prospect have determined that it is necessary for the health
safety and welfare of Village residents to require elevators in
11 buildings of four (4) stories or more;
ow, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
RUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
S FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Section 21.103 of Article I of Chapter 21 of the
illage of Mount Prospect Municipal Code be and the same is hereby,
amended by adding thereto a new subsection 21.103B2h, so that
aid Section 21.103B2h, shall hereafter be and read as follows:
SECTION 103B2h - Add new subsection 315.7.1
containing four (4) stories or more:
Buildings
A minimum of one (1) elevator shall be provided
to service all floors in buildings containing
four (4) stories or more.
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner
rovided by law.
