HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2968 12/18/1979 RDINANCE NO. 2968 AN ORDINANCE ABATING A PORTION OF THE LEVY FOR TilE POLICE PENSION FUND, THE FIRE PENSION FUND AND THE IICRF FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING MAY 1, 1979 WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect has determined sources of funding in lieu of property tax in the area of pensions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEE~ OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That $27,900 of the money received from the personal property tax replacement fund is hereby directed to be applied to the appropriation for Police Pension for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1979. SECTION TWO: That $27,900 of the Police Pension Tax Levy is hereby abated and cancelled from the $318,354 Police Pension Tax levied by Ordinance No. 2936 for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1979. SECTION THREE: That the $290,454 balance of the Police Pension Tax levied by Ordinance No. 2936 remains in full force and effect. SECTION FOUR: That $37,800 of the money received from the personal property tax replacement fund is hereby directed to be applied to the appropriation for Fire Pension for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1979. SECTION FIVE: That $37,800 of the Fire Pension Tax Levy is hereby abated and cancelled from the $420,511 Fire Pension Tax levied by Ordinance No. 2936 for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1979. SECTION SIX: That the $382,711 balance of the Fire Pension Tax levied by Ordinance No. 2936 remains in full force and effect. SECTION SEVEN: That $24,300 of the money received from the personal property tax replacement fund is hereby directed to be applied to the appropriation for IMRF Pension for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1979. SECTION EIGHT: That $24,300 of the ~{RF Pension Tax Levy is hereby abated and cancelled from the $266,650 I~{RF Pension Tax levied by Ordinance No. 2936 for the fiscal year beginning May 1, 1979. SECTION NINE: That the $242,350 balance of the I]VIR.F Pension Tax levied by Ordinance No. 2936 remains in full force and effect. SECTION TEN: That the Village Clerk of the Village of MOunt Prospect is hereby directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance with the COunty Clerk of Cook County. SECTION ELEVEN: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in the manner provided by law. PASSED this 18th day of December , 1979.
