HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 2970 12/18/1979 2/6/79 12/]3/79 ORDINANCE 'NO. 2970 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHARGES FOR EMERGENCY FIRE DEPARTMENT SERVICE ~EREAS, from time to time the Village of Mount Prospect Fire Department is called upon to render emergency fire, ambulance or paramedic services to persons and areas not within the ~ of the Village of Mount Prospect Fire Department, and with whom Village has no mutual aid agreement or other contract for such service; and i%~EREAS, %he President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that it would be in the best interest of the Village to require a person who requests and receives such servic, of the Fire Department to be required tO.pay therefor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, Cook County, Illinois as follows: SECTION ONE: Any person who does not have a mutual aid agreement or other contract with the Village providing for fire, ambulance or paramedic service and who requests the Village of Mount Prospe. Fire Department to render such service to a person or area not wi' in the jurisdiction of the Village of Mount Prospect Fire Departm. and for whom or on whose behalf the Fire Department renders such service shall be deemed to have entered into a contract with the Village of Hount Prospect for the rendition of such service and shall be required to pay said Village within thirty days of a receipt of a bill therefor, the fees and charges for such service set forth in Section Two of this Ordinance. SECTION TWO: The following fees and charges shall be paid by any per.son requesting and receiving any one or more of the following services: 1. Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per apparatus per hour of potion thereof for ~re figh~ng equipment. 2.One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per vehicle per hour or potion thereof for ambulance response. 3. One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per vehicle per hour or potion ~ereof for st~f car response. SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the man- ner provided by law. Passed this 18th day of December , 1979.
