AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SPECIFIED
SECTIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
ON NOTICE
~HEREAS, it has been proposed that Sections 14.603, 14.703 and
[4.804 of the Village of Mount Prospect Zoning Ordinance be
~mended to reduce the size of signs and the letters thereon
~nd eliminate specified information on signs which are required
;o be posted on property which are the subject of, respectively,
~quests for variations, special uses and amendments to the
oning Ordinance; and
~EREAS, a public hearing was held on such proposed amendments
,efore the zoning Board of Appeals on Nover~ber 15, 1979 pursuant
.o notice duly published in the Mount Prospect Herald on
~ctober 31, 1979; and
~HEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals recommended approval, of the
roposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance to the President and
oard of Trustees of the Village; and
HEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village find
hat it would be in the best interest of the Village to approve
he proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance.
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
RUSTEES·OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
S FOLLOWS:
ECTION ONE: Section 14.603B3b of Chapter 14 of the Municipal
ode'o'f-"the Village of Mount Prospect (the Zoning Ordinance) be
nd the same is hereby amended by deleting the language "32" X 48"
nd."3/8" wide by 2-1/2" as they. appear in said Section and sub-

4.603B3b shall hereafter be and'read as follows:~ ''

~CTION TWO: Section 14.703B3b of Chapter 14 of the Municipal Cod

having letters a minimum of 2" high, and contain the
following information:
1) The Village of Mount Prospect case number;
2) ~The fact that a public hearing will be held to
affect the subject property, with direction to
interested members of the general public to call '
the office of the zoning Administrator for further
information concerning date, time, and place and
subject matter of the said public hearing.
