ORDINANCE NO. 2994
AN ORDINANCE INVOLUNTARILY ANNEXING TO
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT LAND LYING
IN SECTION 27, TOWNSHIP 42 NORTH, RANGE
11 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN
IN COOK COUNTY~ ILLINOIS
~EREAS, the following described real estate is not within the
~orporate limits of any municipality and is contiguous to the
Village of. Mount Prospect:
Ail of Lot 7 together with all that part of Euclid
Avenue lying South of the North line of the SOuth-
west 1/4 of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian and lying West'
of 'the East line of Lot 7. extended North and lying
Easterly of the Southwesterly line of Lot 7 extended
Northwesterly said Lot 7 being Lot 7 in Arlington
Meadows, being a SubdiviSion of that Part of the
West 1/2 of the SouthWeSt 1/4 lying Northeasterly of
the center line of Rand' Road in Section 27, ToWnship
42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
Il(hereinafter sometimes referre~ t6 as the "Subject Property");

~HEREAS, the Subject Property is wholly surrounded by the Vil-
lage of Mount Prospect and the Village of Arlington Heights
and is therefore subject to the provisions of Section 7-1-13
Df the Illinois Municipal Code, Ill Rev. Stat., 1977,
~h. 24 ~7-1-13, and can be involuntarily annexed by the Vil-
lage'of Mount Prospect; and
~HEREAS, notice of the proposed annexation of the Subject
roperty was duly published in the Mount' Prospect Herald on
Peb~uar~ 6 , 1980, and notice properly mailed to all
:other persons and bodies legally entitled to notice of the
iProposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount ProSpect, Illinois, find and believe it to be in the best
interest of said Village that the Subject Property be annexed
.to the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That ail land and territory legally described as
follows, to wit:

Ail of Lot 7 together with all that part of Euclid
Avenue lying South of the North line of the South-
west 1/4 of Section 27, Township 42 North, Range 11
East of the Third Principal Meridian and lying West
of the East line Of Lot 7 extended North and lying
Easterly of the Southwesterly line of Lot 7 extended
Northwesterly said Lot 7 being Lot 7 in Arlington
Meadows, being a Subdivision of that part of the
West 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 lying Northeasterly of
the center line of Rand Road in Section 27, Township
42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois.
an accurate map of which territory is attached hereto and made
a part hereof by this reference, be, and the same hereby is,
annexed to the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois.
SECTION.TWO: The Village Clerk of the Village of Mount Prospect
is hereby directed 'to record in the offices of the Recorder .of
Deeds of Cook County, Illinois, and to file in the offices of
the County Clerk of Cook County, Illinois, a copy of this
Ordinance, together with an accurate map of the territory
annexed.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in the manner provided by law.
