RESOLUTION NO. 49-03
A RESOLUTION TO INCLUDE COMPENSATION
DIRECTED INTO A RETIREMENT HEALTH SAVINGS PLAN
AS ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT FUND EARNINGS
WHEREAS, standard member earnings reportable to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)
may not include certain forms of compensation directed into a Retirement Health Savings Plan; and
WHEREAS, the governing body of an IMRF participating unit of government may elect to include in
IMRF earnings for the Irrevocable Election for pre-tax Contributions from Compensation directed
into a Retirement Health Savings Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect are authorized to
include compensation directed into a Retirement Health Savings Plan as earnings reportable to
IMRF and it is desirable that it do so.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: That the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby
do hereby elect to include as earnings reportable to IMRF compensation directed into a Retirement
Health Savings Plan effective January 1, 2004.
SECTION TWO: That the Village Clerk is authorized and directed to file a duly certified copy of this
resolution with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
SECTION THREE: That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval in the manner provided by law.
