A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CONSOLIDATED ELECTION
OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT HELD APRIL 9, 2013
WHEREAS, the Consolidated General Election was held in and for the Village of Mount Prospect,
Cook County, Illinois, on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, for the purpose of electing one Village President
for a four year term and three Village Trustees for four year terms, and two Library Trustees for six
year terms; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby
declare the results of the April 9, 2013 election for said Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE That pursuant to the Consolidated Election Laws of the State of Illinois, a regular
election was held for the Village of Mount Prospect, Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
SECTION TWO That an official canvass was conducted on April 30, 2013 by the Cook County
Clerk's Canvassing Board for the Village of Mount Prospect declaring that 3,500 ballots were
counted as follows:
Village President — 4 year term
Arlene A. Juracek 2,885
Village Trustee — 4 -year terms
John Matuszak

Steve S. Polit
1,871
Michael A. Zadel
1,634
John Dyslin
1,281
Kevin Grouwinkel
1,137
Carl Arriaza

Library Trustee — 6 -year terms

SECTION THREE A) Inasmuch as Arlene A. Juracek received an uncontested number of
votes, she is hereby declared elected to the Office of Village President of the Village of Mount
Prospect for a four -year term;
B) Inasmuch as John Matuszak, Steven S. Polit and Michael A. Zadel
received the greatest number of votes, they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Village
Trustee of the Village of Mount Prospect for four -year terms;
C) Inasmuch as Barbara N. Burns and Jane W. Everett each received
an uncontested number of votes, they are hereby declared elected to the Office of Library Trustee
of the Village of Mount Prospect for six -year terms.
SECTION FOUR: The Village Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution
to the Cook County Election Department and the State Board of Election Commissioners, as
provided by law.
SECTION FIVE This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval in the manner provided by law.
