AN ORDINANCE k~ENDING ARTICLE II OF
CHAPTER 20 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT

ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AiX~D THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLA

ON ONE: Section 20.201 of Article II of Chapter 20 of the
ipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect be, and the same is

Section 20.201. License Required; Time of Payment;
License Year.

No owner (as defined in Article IV of this
Chapter) shall keep a dog within the Village
without obtaining a license therefor from
the Village.
B. Dog licenses issued for calendar year 1980
shall expire on December 31, 1980. Dog
licenses issued for calendar year .1981 shall
expire on April 30, 1982. Fees for licenses
issued for calendar year 1980 and 1981 shall
be due and payable in advance of the first
day of January of each of said years.
Beginning in 1982 and continuing each and
every year thereafter, fees for licenses
shall be due and payable in advance of the
first day of May and licenses issued shall
expire on the April 30 following the date of
issuance. If, after the date license fees
become due and payable hereunder, a person
acquires a dog or becomes a resident of the
Village and has a dog, the license fees
provided for in Section 20.202C shall be due
and payable within thirty (30) days after
such acquisition or residency. Where the
said fee becomes due and payable six (6)
months or more after the start of the license
year, then upon timely application being made
to the Director of Management Services, a license
shall be issued for the remainder of the year
upon payment of the semi-annual fee provided
for in Section ~0.202C.
IN TWO: Section 20.202 of Article. II of Chapter 20 of the

2 .20lB," so that said Section shall hereafter be and read as

Whenever an application for a renewal license previously
issued for the prior fiscal year is received by the
Director of Management Services after 30. days after the
date it is due as provided in Section'20.201B, the Director
of Management Services is hereby authorized to compute the
license fee for such license at the rate of one hundred
fifth percent (150%) of the license fee heretofore
designated in Section 20.201B of this Article.
