HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3052 09/16/1980 ORDINANCE NO. 3052 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OkrNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT ~EREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities ~f the Village of Meunt Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful or fOr Lhe best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retai~ o~mership of ihe personal property hereinafter described; and ~EREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the ~illage of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property; IOW, THEREFORE, BE IT OBTAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND B0f~RD OF TRUSTEES OF THE ~ILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: ;ECTION ONE: That, pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Mu~ 'cipal Code~ 111. Rev. Stat., C24, Section 11-76-4, the President and Board of,7~ustees of :he Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described prclerty: Three 40HP Enpo-Cornell Submersible Pumps -- never used -- no warranty. Pump #1 Model #4DNT-SS-40-4 HP - 40 RPM - 1750 TDH - Ft. 82 Serial #1222-11¼ Volts - 460 Phase % 3 ' CYcle !- 60 GPM - 1000 Pump #2 Model #4D~T-,SS-40-4 HP - 4O RPM - 1750 TDH - Ft. 82 ~, Pu~p #3 Model #4DNT-SS-40-4 HP - 40 RPM - 1750 TDH - Ft~ 82 · Serial #1275-11~ ¥olts~- 460 Phase ~ 3 Cycle- 60 GPM -~1000 Serial #1393-!1¼, Volts- 460 Phase - 3 Cycle.- 60 GP~ - 100p Control Panel: ~ /~',~,~, Three (3) 40 Hp., 460 V starte~'s'.~h 3~ov~r!o~ protection (note. maximum capacity 60 hp., 460V) One (1) disconnect with 2 fused circuits for pumps 1 & 2 relays for mercury switch pump down control) ne (1) transfer switch to transfer pump 3 from public service to generator standby. (Pump 3 to be controlled by 2 mercury switches independent of pumps 1 & 2) One (1) disconnect with fuses f~r pump 3 Three (3) running lights Three (3) Hand/Off/Auto Selector switches Three (3) seal leak detector lights with seal leak sensing relays. Three (3) lapsed time meters Three (3) 120V control transformers One (1) 150 Watt strip heate~ with thermostat. Ail controls are wired to terminal blocks for connecting to remote devices. The above mounted in an enclosure approx. 59" high, 39" wide, and 10" deep. The entire control cabinet mounted in a rain- tight gasketed enclosure with drip shield approx. 78" high, 58" wide, 16" deep with double door and 3 point locking handle. now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village of Mou~ Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: That, pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Mmnager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now o~ed by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest bidder therefor. Said sale shall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids. SECTION THREE: That, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper ipublished within the co~unity not less than ten (10) days before the date llof said public auction. · SECTION FOUR: That, the Village of M~unt= Prospect reserves the right to rejec any and all bids. SECTION FIVE: That, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of said personal property which shall be advertised for by publishing the following notice once in The Daily Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: NOTICE TO EIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the Village Manager of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the office of the Village ~nager, 100 South Emerson Street, until 10:00 a.m.C.D.S.T., October 15, 1980 at which time the Bid Proposals for the purchase of three 40 HP pumps and control panel never used -- no warranty available, which equipment is presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, will be opened and publicly read. Any such proposal shall be accompanied by earnest money in cash, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the offer (bid proposal). These equipment is more particularly described ~s follows: Pump Model #4DNT-SS-40-4 Pump Make E~O-Cornell Capacity 1000 GPM ontrol cabine~ custom made with 3-40 HP 460V starters, disconnect switches, safety equipment, and lapsed time meters. Ail controls enclosed in a raintight cabinet. The original cost of the pumps amounted to some $2,995.00 apiece. The original cost of the control cabinet was $3,216.00. Prospective bidders and interested persons may review the personal property to be sold at the Public Works Building, 11 South Pine.Street, Mount Prpspect. The Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right to reject any and all bids. By order of the President and Board of Trustees, Village of Mount Prospect, Carolyn H. Krause, Village President."
