HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3054 10/07/1980 RDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SAI,E BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY · '(~ 'BY 'THE VILTAGE 'OF MOUNT 'PROSPECT WHEREAS, _in the opinion of at least three-fourths of ~he co,rate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and ~A~REAS, it has been determined by the ~yor and Board of ~rustees of the Village of ~Dunt Prospect to sell said personal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, October 18, 1980, at 12:00 A,M.; NOW, %~2tEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ~IAYOR AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VIT,TAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION :ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4, the Ymyor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described personal property: 507 1X27H4K150134 1974 Chevrolet Nova $75.00 2736 PK41K3D198140 1973 Plymouth Fury_ $25.00 305 DM41K4Dl19114 1974 Dodge ~Dnaco $50.00 now ownedby the Village of ~DuntProspect is no longer necessary or useful to ilthe Village of Mount Prospect, and thebestinterests oftheVillage of Mount IProspec~ will be served by its sale. I~ECTION~O: Pursuant tosaid Section 11-76-4, the VillageManageris hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal prope~y n~owned by the Village of ~unt Prospect at public auction on Saturday, October 18, 1980, at 12:00A.M, at thePublic Works Center, 222 North Ridge Avenue, .!rlington HeightS, Illinois, to the highest bidder on saidPersonal property. SECTIONTHREE: The VillageManager is hereby authorizedandmay direct the Orthwest~v~micipal Conference to advertise the sale of the aforementioned ersonal property ina newspaper publishedwithinthec~m~anitybefore the ~te of said public auction. SECTIONFOUR: No bid which is less than the minimumprice set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted. SECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the _~orthwest Municipal Conference to enter into an agreement for tJ~e sale of said personal property.
