HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3058 10/07/1980 /18/80 ORDINANCE NO. 3058 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING SPECIFIED VARIATION FOR PROPERTY AT 1531 LONNQUIST BOULEVARD WMR. REAS, Larry McKone (who shall be referred to as "Petitioner") is the beneficial owner of a parcel of property located-at 1531 Lonnquist Boulevard, in the Village of Mount Prospect, County of Cook, State'of Illinois (hereinafter referred to as the "Subject Property"); and WR~'REAS, the Subject Property is legally described as follows: Lot 1 in Semar Home Builders Resubdivision of ~ots 1 and 21 in Busse County Estates, being a Subdivision of the West 25 acres of that part of the West half of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North; Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying North of Seeger's Road, in Cook County, Illi- nois; WHEREAS, the Subject Property is located in the R-1 Single Family Residence District under the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of the Villge of Mount Prospect (hereinafter referred to as the "Zoning Ordinance"); and WHEREAS, petitioner has heretofore filed an application-seeking the fOllowing variation from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance: A variati°n fr°m SeCti°n 14.1101.B,4 of Article XI of the Zoning ordinance to pe~it the construction of a five bedroom home with an attached three-car ~garage on the SubjeCt Property instead of the two- car garage permitted under said Section 14.1101.B.4. ~IE. REAS, a public hearing was held on the Petitioner's request for the aforesaid variation, which request is known as ZBA-35-V-80, before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on July 24, 1980, pursuant to proper public notice published in the Mount Propsect Herald on July 8, 1980; and WFTEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended to the Building Committee of the Board of Trustees of-the Village of Mount Prospect that Petitioner's request for the aforesaid variation, ZBA-35-V-80, be granted; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have considered the Petitioner's request and reviewed the recommendation of the Village of Mount Prospect Zoning Board of Appeals in ZBA,35-V-80; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect have determined that with respect to the Peti- tioner's requested variation, that Petitioner has satisfied the standards for the grant of variations set forth in Section 14.605 of Article VI of the Zoning Ordinance and find that it would be in the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect to grant Petitioner the requested variation. - 2 -- ' ;OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF ?RUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS Ls follows: ;ECTION ONE: The recitals set forth hereinabove are in- Dorporated herein as findings of fact by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount ProsPect. ;ECTION TWO: The President and Board of Trustees of the Tillage of Mount Prospect hereby grant the fOllowing variation: A variation from Section 14.110I.B.4 of Article XI of the Zoning Ordinance to permit the construction of a five bedroom home with an attached three-car garage, instead of the two-car garage permitted under said Section 14.1101.B.4; For a parcel of real estate legally described as fO/lows: Lot 1 in Semar ~ome Builders Resubdivision of Lots 1 and 21 in Busse County Estates, being a S~bdivision of the West 25 acres of that part of the West half of the Northwest quarter of Section 14, Township 41 North; Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, lying North of Seeger's Road, in Cook County, Illi- nois; ~ECTION THREE: Except for the variation granted herein, all other applickble Village of Mount Prospect ordinances shall remain in full force and effect as to the Subject Property. SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the manner provided by law. Passed this 7th day of OCtober , 1980.
