OLD BUSINESS A. 2nd reading of AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18 (TRAFFIC) AND APPENDIX A-DIVISION II (FEES, RATES, & TAXES) OF THE VILLAGE CODE This ordinance increases municipal parking fees by $.50. (Exhibit A) Xl. NEW BUSINESS A. PZ-30-03, 905 E. Rand Road, Hertz Auto Rental Co. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 905 EAST RAND ROAD This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit to allow the operation of an auto rental agency in the existing retail/commercial shopping center. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0. PZ-31-03, 213 S. Edward Street, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 213 SOUTH EDWARD STREET This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit to allow the construction of an unenclosed porch which would encroach no more than five-feet (5') into the required front yard. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0. PZ-32-03, 902 Sumac Lane, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 902 SUMAC LANE This ordinance grants a Variation to locate a shed within the required five-foot (5') setback. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0. PZ-33-03, 721 W. Busse Avenue, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 721 WEST BUSSE AVENUE This ordinance grants a Variation to allow an addition to encroach 2.85 feet into the side yard, resulting in a 4.15 foot setback; the Code requires a seven-foot (7') setback. The ordinance also proposes an 11.53 encroachment into the rear yard, with a 13.47-foot setback, less than the 25-foot setback. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended denial of the requests by a vote of 7-0. (Exhibit B) (Exhibit C) (Exhibit D) (Exhibit E) PZ-34-03, 318 S. Hi-Lusi Avenue, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 318 SOUTH HI-LUSI AVENUE This ordinance grants a Variation for an addition to encroach six-feet (6') into the exterior side yard, and grants a Conditional Use permit to allow the construction of a porch in the front yard setback. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0. PZ-35-03, 1105 S. Beechwood Drive, Residence 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1105 SOUTH BEECHWOOD DRIVE This ordinance grants a Conditional Use permit to allow a circular driveway. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended denial of the request by a vote of 7-0. PZ-25-03, 115 S. Pine Street, Vacant lot 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 115 SOUTH PINE STREET This ordinance grants a Variation and Conditional Use permit to allow the construction of a parking lot. The Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval by a vote of 7-0. 1st reading of AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT This ordinance authorizes the Village, as a member of the Northwest Municipal Conference, to participate in a public auction of surplus vehicles, at the Mount Prospect Public Works Facility, 1700 W. Central Road, on October 11,2003. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2004 ACTION PLAN INCLUDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2004 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM The resolution establishes CDBG funding allocations for the 2004 fiscal year. LITIGATION 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (11) - Litigation, when an action against, affecting, or on behalf of the particular public body has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the public body finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting.
