HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3075 12/16/1980 l/ O/eO ORDINANCE NO. 3075 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 13.106.A OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE LIQUOR LICENSE FEES BE IT ORDAINED By THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS as follows: SECTION ONE: Section 13.106.A of Chapter 13 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Mount Prospect be and the same is hereby amended by deleting said Section 13.!06.A in its entirety by substituting therefore a new Section 13.106.A to be and read as follows: Sec. 13.106. Licenses and Permits. Except as may be provided for the issuance of certain peraLits under the terms of subsection B herein, every person engaged in the retail sale of alcoholic liquor in the Village shall first have obtained a suitable liquor license authorizing the specific type and character of such alcoholic liquor sale as may be contemplated in such retail business. t. Such licenses shall be divided into the following classifications: CLASS "A" license, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license alcoholic liquor for con- sumption on said premises and also alcoholic liquor in its original package. CLASS "B" license, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license alcoholic liquor only for consumption on the said premises. CLASS "C" license, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license alcoholic liquor in its original package only. CLASS "D" license for issuance to private clubs and civic or fraternal organizations not operated for pecuniary profit, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license alcoholic liquor to its members and guests.only, for consumption on the said premises. CLASS "E" license, for issuance to caterers, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified in such license alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises where sold. Consumption of alcoholic liquor at or over a bar shall be permitted, but all con- sumption shall be limited to those patrons who are invited guests and dining on the premises specified in such !ice,se. LASS "L" license, for issuance to restaurants offering live music as entertainment at least four (4) evenings of each week, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail, in the premises specified for such license, alcoholic liquor for consumption on' the premises where sold. Consumption of alcoholic liquor shall be permitted for a longer oeriod of time each day than shall be permitted other ~iquor license classifications, pursuant to the terms of Section 13.115 herein. CLASS "M" license, for issuance to hotels, motels, motor inns, or motor lodges which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises' specified in such license, alcoholic liquor, whether for consumption or in its original ~ackaae, to guests of such hotel, motel, motor' inn or motel lodge in ~he rooms occupied by such guests on such premises. CLASS "R" license, for issuance to restaurants, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail alcoholic liquor for consumption on the premises where sold. Consumption of alcoholic liquor at or over a bar is specifically prohibited and any consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be lim/ted to those patrons who are dining in such restaurant. CLASS "V" license, which shall authorize ~he 'licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified for such license, wine in its original package only. Samplings of wine in conjunction with sales promotional efforts shall be allowea pursuant to the regulations contained in Section 13.113 of this Chapter. CLASS "W" license, for issuance to restaurants, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail, beer and wine for consumption on the premises where sold. Consumption of alcoholic liquor at or over a bar is specifically prohibited and any consumption of beer ann wine shall be limited to those patrons who are dining in such restaurant. CLASS "P"'license, which shall authorize the licensee to sell and offer for sale at retail in the premises specified for such license, wine and beer in the original package which may be refrigerated or non-refrigerated. Consumption of wine and/or beer (as well as samplings thereof) upon the licensed premises is strictly prohibited. 2. Each such licensee shall pay an annual license fee for such license in the amount set forth below: O Licenses issued Before May 1, 1981: License Classification ~mnual License Fee Class A Class B Class C Class D Class E Class L Class M Class P Class R Class V Class W One thousand, five hundred dollars ($1,500.00)~ One thousand dollars ($1,000.00) One thousand dollars ($1,000.00).
