Minutes: September 20. 2012
Attendees: Paula Randant, Judy Thorne, John Korn, Skip & Janice Farley, Rachel Toeppen, Tricia Fusilero,
Dorothy- Kucera, John Sibrava, Gaiv Randant, Barbara Vanleesdale, hvana Wilks, Marisa El Metemram, Louie
Huber, Ed Juracek, Diana Sahakian,
Not Attending: Paul Seils, Mary Ann Sibrava.
The meeting was called to order by Dorothy at 5:40 PM.
IL The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
III. Citizens to be heard. No one requested to be heard.
IV. Treasurer's Report: Skip Farley reviewed the report and it was approved by members and is attached
to the minutes.
V. Mayor's Remarks- Mayor livana Wilks noted that the purpose of the September meeting was to review
the cit ordinance for Sister Cities. John Sibrava, an attorney and Commission member had been asked
to review the ordinance and make suggestions. He passed out working copies of the ordinance and
what changes he suggested. Mayor livana Wilks also had some comments and suggestions. The
entire ordinance was reviewed by the Commission members. There was discussion among members
of the ordinance as it is and whether we had been complying with it as written. Amoral reporting to
the Village Board was noted as one thing we had not been doing. Several changes in wording were
suggested and accepted. John Sibrava will retype in readable format and distribute to members for
review.
VL Reports:
a. Ed Juracek noted that this is his last meeting. He needed to resign due to increased obligations.
b. The Wine Tasting will be November 8, 2012; location has not yet been finalized due to liquor license
issues. World Market in Randhurst is being suggested as the new location and Lor7ie Huber and
Paula Randant will follow up.
c. Rachel Toeppen reported that the quilters were going to Sevres for a quilt shoe. Rachel is not able to
attend.
d. Mauna noted that reporting on the French Market would be deferred until the November meeting.
VII. The meeting was adjourned.
Next meeting will be November 15, 2012 at 5:30PM in the Village Hall.
