Saturday, March 1, 1997
ATTENDING; Steve Durlacher, Janice Farley, Leo Floros, Lil Floros, Jill Friedrichs,
Adriane Lewis, Laura Luteri
1 The meeting was called to order by Leo Floros. Minutes of the February 8, 1997
meeting were approved.
2. Veteran's Memorial. The committee has planned one big week for promotion. The
meeting with U.S. Robotics was postponed until next week.
3. Do it Yourself Sousa. A committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 10, at 6
p.m. The event was allowed up to $1000 for expenses. It was suggested a box lunch
from a Park Fest vendor be available to participants at a price undetermined. Drinks will
be available as usual.
4. Welcome to Mount Prospect. No report. Leo and Lil will check with Mike to see
what the Commission should be doing.
5. Fourth of July Parade. Jill has sent out letters of invitation to participate. The 1997
theme is "Volunteers." There will be a float meeting Wednesday, March 19.
6. Holiday Events Calendar. Lil passed out copies of proposed calendar, roughed out by
Terri Pistone. It was very favorably received.
