AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL
PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
~ [EREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the
~rporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is
longer necessary or useful or for the best interests of the
.llage of Mount P~osmect to retain ownership of the personal
p~operty hereinafter ~escribed; and
W~EREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of
T~ustees of the Village of Mount Prospect that said personal
p~operty should be sold;
)W, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
~USTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS
follows:
CTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois
lnicipal Code, Ill. Rev. Stat., c.24, Section 11-76-4, the
~esident and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect
.nd that the personal property constituting a water testing
~boratory and more fully described in the attached. Exhibit "A",
)w owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longe~ necessa
useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best'interest
the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale.
ECTION 'TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village
~nager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the afore-
~ntioned personal property now owned by the Village of
)unt Prospect, to the highest bidder therefor, except that no
id under $6,000.00 shall be accepted. Said sale shall be
)nducted th'rough the receipt of sealed b~s which shall be
)ened on Monday, January 19, 19El, at 10 a.m. in the
llage Manager's office at the Mount Prospect Village Hall,
0 South Emerson Street.
ECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized
]d directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned persona
?operty in a newspaper published within the community not
~ss than ten (10) days before the date set for the opening of b
ECTION FOUR: The Village of Mount Prospect reserves".hhe right
reject any and all bids.
%CTION FIVE: If no bids for or in excess of $6,000.00 are receJ
or be{ore the time and date set in Section Two hereinabove
the opening of bids, the Village Manager is hereby
~thorized and directed to negotiate and effect the sale of the
[orementioned property and to report the results of such
~gotiation and sale to ~he President and Board of Trustees of
~e Village of Mount Prospect on or before February 3, 1981.
iCTION SIX: Upon payment of th~ full price, the Village ~anage
hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title t
e aforesaid personal property to the successful bidder or

CTION SEVEN: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
ffect from and after its passage by at least three-fourths
f the corporate authorities and approval in the manner
rovided by law.
