CALL TO ORDER - ROLL CALL II. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF M~RCH 27v 1990 III. CITIZENS TO BE HEARD IV. DISCUSSION OF PESTICIDES Sandra Clark will be present to discuss the pesticide policy that the Village has followed in the past and does follow now. Attached is a memorandum from the Forestry Superintendent Indicating the pesticides that we currently use in Mount Prospect, the laws that are in effect end our regulations in Mount Prospect for the utilization of those pesticides. The representative for PEEP, People to Eliminate Environmental Pesticides, has also been notified of t~ discussion to take place. V. BOXWOOD DRIVE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT Ap~2 2o, Community Development Block Grant Funds, are slated to be spent for improvements and enhancements to Boxwood Drive as well as increasing the amount of parking spaces around the drive. Our consultant will be present to discuss this work. Also representatives from various homeowners associations in the Boxwood area who were involved with discussions concerning the improvements, particularly increasing the number of parking spaces, will be present. VI. DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED LANDSCAPE ORDINANCE The Board has previously been given copies of a proposed landscape Ordinance. The present requirements in the Development Code indicate that a plan should be prepared and given to the Director of Planning and Zoning for his approval The proposed Ordinance, which we are suggesting should be put in Chapter 15 which ls currently "Reserved", will outline what improvements are expected and anticipated when developments come forward. vii. DISCUSSION OF ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS Attached is a proposed Ordinance which regulates the sale of tobacco products to people under the age of 18. Several communities in the area have strengthened their Ordinances by adopting similar regulations restricting the sale of tobacco to minors. I draw your attention spec~flcally to the section that has to do with not allowing sales wlthln 100 feet of schools and recreational facilities when there may be minors that use those facilities. This is similar to what is found in liquor codes VIII. DISCUSSION OF RECALL ORDINANCE The attached Recall Ordinance is carried over from the last Committee of the Whole meeting for discussion purposes. IX. ~L~NAGER~S REPORT X. ANY OTHER BUSINESS XI.
