HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3127 07/21/1981 RDINANCE NO. 3127 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS; in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for t~ best interests of the Village of Mount Prospects to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT RROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 9f the Illinois Municipal Code, Ill, Rev. Stat., C24, Section.il-76-4, the President and 2Qard of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the f611owing described property: Two (2) Plectron Chief, Model R2B3, Serial #15090 and 15094 Radio Receivers One (1) each Plectron Chief, Model R2B4, Serial #25950 Radio Receiver Two (2) each Plectron Chief, Model R2BS, Serial #45870 and 45881 Radio Receivers Thirteen (13) Plectron Chief, Model RhB3, Serial #14313, 15054, 15055, 15056, 15063, 15068, 15070, 15071, 15072, 15073, 15074, 15076, 15079 Ail used in as-is condition, equipped for operation on V.H.F. (150 MHZ) and arrainged for fast duo tone sequential activation of 2575HZ and 707H~ Now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of MOunt Prospect and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION ~0: That, pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest bidder therefor. Said sale shall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids. SECTION THREE: That, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the con~nUnity not less than ten (.10) days before the date of said Bid Opening. SECTION FOUR: That~ the Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right to reject any and all bids. SECTION FIVE: That, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of said personal property which shall be advertised for by publishing the following no~ice once in The Daily Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: OTICE HO BIDDERS Notice is hereby giYen that the Village Manager ~f the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the office of the Village Managers 100 South Emerson Street, until 10:00 a.m.C.D.S.T., August 11, 1981 at which time the Bid Proposals for the purchase of eighteen (18) Plectron Radio Receivers, no warranty available, which radios are presently owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, will be opened and publicly read. Any such proposal shall be accompanied by earnest money in cash, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the offer (Bid Proposal) These Radio Receivers are more particularly described as follows: Two (2) each Plectron Chiefs Model R2B3, Serial #15090 and 15094 Radio Receivers One (1) each Plectron Chief, Model R2B4, Serial #25950 Radio Receiver Two (2) each ?lectron Chief, Model R2B5, Serial #45870 and 45881 Radio Receivers Thirteen (13) Plectron Chief, Model R4B3, Serial #14313, 15054, 15055, 15056, 15063, 15068, 15070, 15071, 15072, 15073, 15074, 15076~ 15079 Ail used in as is condition, equipped for operation on V.H.F. (150 MHZ) and arrainged for fast duo tone sequential activation of 2575 HZ and 707 HZ Prospective bidders and interested persons may re¥iew the personal proper to be sold at the Public Safety Building, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect.
