AN ORDINA~NCE TO AM2END CHAPTER 22 ENTITLED
"WATER, SE~ER, ~ND FLOOD PLAIN REGULATIONS''
OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDE~T AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter 22 entitled "Water, sewer, and Flood
Plain Regulations" of'the Village Code of Mount Prospect,.Illinois,
198i, is hereby amended as follows:
By amending Section 22.401 of Article IV thereof to
substitute a fee of "ten dollars ($10.00)" in place
of %he fee of "two dollars ($2.00)" of which shall
be paid for turnihg on the water, as provided for
therein.
B. -By amending Section 22.503 of Article V thereof to
read as follows:
"Sec. 22.503. Testing Meters. Any Municipal water
.meter shall be taken out and tested upon complaint
of the consumer, upon payment of a fee of twenty
dollars ($20.00) plus prevailing labor rate. If
· upon test the meter is not within three percent
(3%) of being accurate, it shall be repaired or
replaced and the twenty dollar ($20.00) fee returned
to the comsumer."
By amending Section 22.506.1 of Article V thereof to
substitute a charge of "fifteen dollars ($15.00)" in
place of the charge of "three dollars ($3.00)" for
expenses incurred in turning off and turning on the
water as provided for therein.
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage, approval and publication in accordance with law.
