AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corpor~ authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful To or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has' been determined by the Mayor and Board of Trust~ of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, October 3, 1981, at 12:00 P.M. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois ~a~ ~ode, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4 the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospec~ find that the following described personal property: Inventory No. Year Make Model Min.Vatue 031024M 1972 John Deere Riding Mower $150.00 38243 1968 Selma Manlift $300.00 CGY3U185689 1973 Chevrolet Ambulance $ $0.00 4881800181 1968 Dodge Dump Truck $200.00 4881804521 1968 Dodge Dump Truck $200.00 4881784195 1968 Dodge Dump Truck $200.00 CGQ254U193797 1974 Chevrolet Van $100.00 now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect is no longer necessa or'useful to the Village of Mount Prospect, and the best of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Mana is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect at public auction on Saturday, October 3, 1981, at 12:00 A.M. at the Public Works Center, 222 North Ridge Avenue, Arlington H~ights, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said personal property. SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to advertise the sale' of the aforementioned'personal property in a newspaper publishe~ within the community before the date of said public auction. SECTION FOUR: No bid which is less than the minimum price set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted. SECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to enter into an agre ment for-the sale of said personal property. The auction shall be conducted and the auctioneer shall be compensated in the manner set forth in the contract attached hereto and made part f this ordinance. SECTION SIX: Upon payment of the full auction price, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property to the successful bidder SECTION SEVEN: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by a vote of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
