ORDINANCE NO. 3182
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
HEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths (3/4) of the
orporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is
o longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests, of
he Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the
ersonal property hereinafter described; and
HEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of
rustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said
~rsonal property.
OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
RUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
ECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois
evised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the President

ECTION TWO: That, pursuant to said Section 11-76--4, the
illage Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the
forementioned personal property now owned by the Village of
fount Prospect, to the highest bidder therefor. Said sale
hall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids.
ECTION THREE: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized
nd directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned
ersonal property in a newspaper published within the community

ot less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said bid
pening.
ECTION FOUR: That the Village of Mount Prospect reserves the
!ight to reject any and all bids.
ECTION FIVE: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized
d directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of
e subject personal property which shall be advertised for
y publishing the following notice once in The Daily Herald,
hich notice shall be in substantially the follcwing form:
" NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Village Manager of
the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois,
will receive bids at the Office of the Village Manager,
100 South Emerson Street, until 10:00 A.M. C.D.S.T.
on February 1, 1982, at which time the Bid Proposals
for the purchase of the items listed will be opened
and publicly read. Any such proposals shall be
accompanied by earnest money in cash, certified
check, or cashier's check, in the amount of 10%
· of the offer (Bid Proposal):

Ail property listed is used and offered in an 'as is'
condition, with a total value of $1,755.00
Prospective bidders and interested persons may review
the personal property to be sold at the Public Safety
Building, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect.
The Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right to
reject any and all bids.
