HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3213 05/04/1982 .28/82 - caf ORDINANCE NO. 3213 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourth (3/4) of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no long necessary or useful to or for the best interest of the Village of Mount Prospect, to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Revised Statutes, Chapter 24, Section 11-76-4, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described property: One (1) Mobile radio unit, Motorola F43GGVI Serial 01059 One (1) Mobile radio unit,General Electric ME33U Serial #ET20 A-5 Ten (10) pairs bunker pants., assorted sizes Three (3) pairs bunker boots, assorted sizes Six (6) Cairns New Yorker Helmets, assorted sizes Four (4 ea.) 10 foot sections 5" hard suction hose Two (2 ea.) 10 foot section 2-1/2" hard suction hose Four (4 ea.) Grass Fire Flappers One (1) 4 foot A-frame aluminium ladder One (1) 5 foot A-Frame aluminium ladder Two (2) Scott Air Pack, Positive pressure regulators, masks and back pack assemblies Serial #35804M and 67224M One (1) E & J Lyteport Recussitator Four (4 ea.) 10 foot Overhead door operating units Four (4) Midland handheld Citizens Band 3 Channel Portable Radios Ail property listed is used and offered in an "as is" condition, with the total value of $789.00, now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect and is no longer necessary or useful to the Village of Mount Prospect and the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect will be served by its sale. SECTION TWO: That, pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the aforementioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect, to the highest bidder therefor. Said sale shall be conducted through the receipt of sealed bids. SECTION THREE: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community /26, ~- caf Page Two not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of said bid opening. SECTION FOUR: That the Village of Mount Prospect reserves the right to reject any and all bids. SECTION FIVE: That the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement for the said sale of the subject personal property which shall be advertised for by publishing the following notice once in The Daily Herald, which notice shall be in substantially the following form: " NOTICE TO BIDDERS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village Manager of the Village of Mount Prospect, Cook County, Illinois, will receive bids at the Office of the Village Manager, 100 South Emerson Street, Mount Prospect, until 10: A.M. on May 20, 1982, at which time the Bid Proposals for the purchase of the items listed will be opened and publicly read. item One (1) Mobile radio unit, Motorola F43GGVI Serial #1059 One (1) Mobile radio unit,General Electric ME33U Serial ~ET20 A-5 Ten (10) pairs bunker pants~ assorted sizes Three (3) pairs bunker boots, assorted sizes Six (6) Cairns New Yorker Helmets, assorted sizes Four (4 ea.) 10 foot sections 5" hard suction hose Two (2 ea.) 10 foot section 2-1/2" hard suction hose Four (4 ea.) Prospective bidders and interested persons may review the personal property to be sold at the Public Safety Building, 112 East Northwest Highway, Mount Prospect, Illinois. SECTION SEVEN: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
