RDINANCE NO. 3220
AN ORDINANCE TO A~ND CHAPTER 17 ENTITLED "VEHICLE
LICENSES" OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter 17 entitled "Vehicle
Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, 1981,
as follows:

By amending Section 17.103 entitled "License Fees" of
Article I of Chapter 17 to increase by $5.00~ the annual
license fees set forth for all motor vehicles and trailers
designated in subsections A, B and C thereof.
B. By amending Section 17.107 entitled "Time of Payment; Li-
cense Year" of Article I of Chapter 17 to read as follows:
"Sec. 17.107. License Year; Time of Payment - Discount
Period. Beginning in 1982 and continuing each and
every year thereafter, fees for licenses shall be due
and payable on or before the first day of May, and li-
censes issued shall expire on April 30 following the
date of issuance. If, after the date license fees
become due and payable hereunder, a person acquires a
vehicle or becomes a resident of the Village, the
license fees provided for in Section 17.103 shall be
due and payable within thirty (30) days after such
acquisition or residency. Where the said fee becomes
due and payable six (6) months or more after the start
of the license year, then upon application being made
to the Village Clerk within the 30 day application
period, a license shall be issued for the remainder of
the year upon payment of one-half (1/2) of the fee
provided for in Section 17.103. A discount of $5.00
of the annual license fee provided for in Section
17.103 shall be allowed to all persons who purchase
the license on or before the May 1 due date or within
the subsequent 30 day acquisition or residency period
provided for in this Section."
SECTION TWO: The increase in fees and payment discount pro-
vided herein shall take effect and become applicable on and after
June 17, 1982.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in
accordance with law.
