AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ARTICLE V ENTITLED
"METERS AND RATES" OF CHAPTER 22 OF THE
VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY', iLLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Article V entitled "Meters and Rates" of Chapter
22 of the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, 1981, is
hereby amended as follows:
(A) By amending the title of Section 22.504.2 entitled "Water
Meter Rates" to read instead as follows:
"Sec. 22.504.2. Water User Rates".
(B) By amending subsection A and B of Section 22'.504.2 to read
as follows:
"A. Ail Village users within the Village, having
a direct or indirect connection with Village water
mains shall pay the following rates per quarter:
Water Rate - Per each 1,000 gallons of water con-
sumed, or portion thereof
$1.97
B. Ail Village users outside the corporate limits
of the Village having a direct or indirect connec-
tion with Village water mains shall pay the following
rates per quarter:
Per 1,000 gallons .................................... $3.94
Minimum Charge ........................ $50.00 per quarter."
SECTION TWO: The water and sewer rates established herein by
this Ordinance shall be effective with the May, 1984 billing
period.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form
in accordance with law.
