AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the cor- porate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said per- sonal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, May 21, 1983 .at 11:00 A.M. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 ~of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described personal property: Inventory No. Year Make Model Min. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to sell the afore- mentioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect at public auction on Saturday, May 21, 1983, at 11:00 A.M. at the Public Works Center, 255 W. Dundee Road, Wheeling, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said personal property. SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community before the date of said public auction. SECTION FOUR: No bid which is less than the minimum price set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted. SECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to enter into an agreement for the sale of said personal property. The uction shall be conducted and the auctioneer shall be :ompensated in the manner set forth in the contract attached ~ereto and made pars of this ordinance. SECTION SIX: Upon payment of the full auction price, the ;illage Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey ~nd transfer title to the aforesaid personal property to the successful bidder. 3ECTION SEVEN: This ordinance shall be in full force and ~ffect from and after its passage, by a vote of at least three-fourlhs of the corporate authorities, and-approval in the manner provided by law. lYES: Arthur, Farley, Floros, Murauskis, Richardson, ~AYS: None ?ASSED AND APPROVED THIS 19th DAY OF April Wattenberg · 1983.
