AN ORDINANCE A~NDING CHAPTER 14 E~TITLED,
"ZONING" OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF ~UNT PROS-
PECT TO ADD THERETO THE OPERATION OF A
PRIVATE SCHOOL AS A SPECIAL USE IN A B-2
BUSINESS OFFICE DISTRICT IN THE VILLAGE OF
~DUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the Winona School of Professional Photography,
has heretofore filed an application seeking an amendment
to Chapter 14, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance" of
the Village Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois to provide for
operation of a private school as a special use in a B-2
Business Office District; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on said zoning
amendment request (designated as Case No. ZEA-9-A-83) before
the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect
on the 24th day of March, 1983 pursuant to due and proper
notice thereof published in the Mount Prospect Herald; and
?~EREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has recommended to
the Board of Trustees of the Village of ~!ount Prospect that
the amendment request under ZBA-9-A-83 be granted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD
OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF ~OUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY,
ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter 14 entitled, "Zoning" of the Vil-
lage Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, 1981 is amended, is
hereby further amended by amending Section 14.1801 entitled
"Permitted Uses" of Article XVIII thereof to read as follows:
"Sec. 14.1801. permitted Uses and Special Uses.
A. Permitted Uses
In the B-2 Business Office District the only
u~es which may hereafter be established are:
1. Professional or Business Office
2. Undertaking or funeral parlor
3. Village Hall, Police or Fire Station,
or other Municipal building.
4. General hospitals for humans,
orphanages, homes for aged and
similar institutions.
5. Signs insofar as they may be per-
mitted by this Chapter.
B. Special Uses
The following uses may be allowed by Special
U~e.permit issued in accordance with the pro-
visions of Article VII of this Chapter:
1. School or college (private music,
dancing, business, vocational or other)"
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form in accordance with law.
