THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT
'HEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
Mount Prospect haVe reviewed the parking problems relative to
the downtown district of Mount Prospect; and
fHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of
ount Prospect deem it to be in the best interest of the
illage to create a new Schedule to the Traffic Code relating
o parking for an eight hour period.
~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT'ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF
FRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
~ECTION ONE: That paragraph E of Section 18.1319 of Chapter 18
~ntitled "All Night Parking" be deleted in its entirety.
~ECTION TWO: That Section 18.2011, Schedule XI, entitled
'Two Hour Parking" be amended to delete the word "North" from
2he parking restriction stated as "Prospect Avenue, North &
~outh side of street, between Emerson & School Streets" so that
~a.id Section 18.2011 shall hereafter include in alphabetical
)rder:

:ECTION THREE: That Section 18.1320 of Chapter 18, entitled
Time Limits'r be amended to add thereto a newly created paragraph
i entitled "Eight Hour Parking", which paragraph D of
'ection 18.1320 shall be and read as follows:
" D. Eight hour Parking. Parking of automobiles and
other vehicles is limited to eight (8) hours on any
day between the hours seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and
six o'clock (6:00) P.M. on the streets or portions
thereof included in Schedule X of the Appendix to
this Chapter. "
;ECTION FOUR: Section Section 18.2011 A of Chapter 18, entitled
Two Hour Parking" be amended by deleting the wording "Elm St.,
:ast & West, Btw. Evergreen Ave. & Northwest Hwy.".
EcTION FIVE: That Section 18.2011 B of Chapter 18, entitled
Two Hour Parking" be amended to delete the word"East" from
~he restriction on "Elm St., Between Evergreen Ave. &
[orthwest Hwy."; so said Section 18.2011 B shall include the
!ollowing restriction in alphabetical sequence:

~CTION SIX: That Section 18.2011 A of Chapter 18 be amended
o include the wording "Wille St, East & West, the first 4
arking stalls north of Busse Ave."; so that said Section 18.2011

~ECTION SEVEN: That Schedule X, Section 18.2010, of Chapter 18
~ntitled "All Night Parking" be deleted in its entirety and
eplaced by "Eight Hour Parking"; so that hereafter Schedule X
ection 18.2010, of Chapter 18 shall include the newly created
~Eight Hour Parking" and shall read as follows:
Section 18.2010. Schedule X -- Eight Hour Parking.
In accordance with Section 18.1320 D, and when signs are
erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park a
vehicle for more than eight (8) hours on any day between
the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and six o'clock
(6:00) P.M. on any streets or parts of streets as follows:

~ECTION EIGHT: That Section 18.1320 of Chapter 18, entitled
~Time Limit's" be amended to include a new paragraph E, entitled
HOne Hour Parking"; so that said paragraph E of Section 18.1320
~hall hereafter be and read as fOllows:
H" E. One Hour Parking. Parking of automobiles and other
vehicles is limited to one (1) hour on any day
between the hours of seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and
six o'clock (6:00) P.M. on any streets or parts of
streets as follows:
]CTION NINE: That Chapter 18 (Traffic Code) be amended to
nclude a newly created Schedule XVIII entitled "One Hour
~rking"; so that said Schedule XVIII of Chapter 18 shall
ereafter be and read as follows:
Section 18.2018. Schedule XVIII - One Hour Parking.
In accordance with Section 18.1320 E, and when signs
are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall park
a vehicle more than one (1) hour between the hours of
seven c'clock (7:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) P.M.
on any streets of parts of streets as follows:
