N ORDINANCE TO ~ND CHAPTER 14 ENTITLED
"ZONING" OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT
PROSPECT, ILLINOIS REGARDING THE ADDITION
OF AN AM~BULANCE SERVICE AS A SPECIAL USE
IN THE B-3 BUSINESS RETAIL AND SERVICE
DISTRICT
WHEREAS, Schimming Oil Co., Inc., of 302 East
Northwest Highway, in the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois,
has hereto filed an application seeking an amendment to Chapter
14, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance" of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois to provide for an Ambulance
Service as a permitted use in a B-3 Business Retail and Service
District; and
WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was held on said Zoning'
Amendment request (designated as Case No. ZBA-22-A-83) before
the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect
on the 9th day Of June, 1983 pursuant to due and proper notice
thereof published in the Mount Prospect Herald on the 13th
day of May, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted its
findings and recommendations to the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Mount Prospect and recommended amending the text
to allow ambulance service as a special use; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have consider
further the application and the findings and recommendations of
the Zoning Board of Appeals and have determined that it is in
the best interest of %he community to grant the amend request as
recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals;
~OW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: Chapter 14 entitled "Zoning" of the Village
Code of Mount Prospect, Illinois, 1981, as amended, is
hereby further amended by adding to Section 14.2001C
entitled "Special Uses" of Article XX entitled "B-3 District"
an additional special use to read:
"A~bulance Service"
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form in accordance with law.
