AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A
SPECIAL USE TO ALLOW AN k~IBULANCE SERVICE
ON CERTAIN PROPERTY CO~ONLY KNOWN AS THE
SCHIMMING OIL CO. INC., PROPERTY IN THE
VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, Schimming Oil Co. Inc., the Petitioner,
herein has made a zoning application
with respect to certain property zoned and classified
in the B-3 Business Retail and Service District for the
purpose of establishing an Ambulance Service on said
property, pursuant to the provisions of Section 14.2001
of Article XX of Chapter 14 of the Village Code of Mount
Prospect, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, th~ Subject Property is located at 302 East
Northwest Highway, in the Village of Mount Prospect,
Illinois, and is legally described as Lot 1 in the Resub-
division of Block 10 in Busse and Wille's Resubdivision
in Mount Prospect, in the West one-half of Section 12,
Township 41 North, Range 11, East of the Third Principal
Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois; and
WHER]~AS, a Public Hearing was held on said application
(designated as Case No. ZBA-22-A-83) before the Zoning
Board of Appeals of the Village of Mount Prospect on the
9th day of June, 1983 pursuant to proper publication of
due notice thereof in the Mount Prospect Herald, on the
13th day of May, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Board of Appeals has submitted
its finding and recommendation to the Village in favor of
said application to be considered as a Special Use rather
than a Permitted Use request; and said recommendation to
consider the application as a Special Use Application was
approved and agreed to by the applicant; and
WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees have
considered the application and have determined that the
Subject Property complies with the standards set forth
in Section 14.704 of Chapter 14 regarding a Special Use
and that the best interests of the Village of Mount Pros-
pect will be obtained by the adoption of the necessary
ordinance to approve and authorize the said Special Use.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK
COUNTY, ILLINOIS:
SECTION ONE: The Recitals set forth hereinabove are
incorporated herein as findings of fact by the President
and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect,
iIllinois.
SECTION TWO: A Special Use for the Subject Property
described above, to allow the establishment and operation of
an Ambulance Service in the E-3 Business Retail and Service
District, pursuant to Subsection C of SeCtion 14.2001 of
Article XX of said Chapter 14 is hereby approved.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force
~nd effect from and after its passage, approval and publication
in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
