HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3353 08/16/1983 RDINANCE NO. 3353 AN ORDINANCE VACATING A CERTAIN ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE GENERAL VICINITY OF WILLE STREET AND KENSINGTON ROAD, MOUNT PROSPECT,ILLINOIS PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES 16th DAY OF AUGUST, 1983 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 31st day of August, 1983 RDINANCE NO. 3353 ' AN ORDINANCE VACATING A CERTAIN ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE GENERAL VICINITY OF WILLE STREET AND KENSINGTON ROAD, MOUNT PROSPECT, ILLINOIS WHEREAS, Chaper 24, 11-91-1 of the Illinois Revised Statutes (1981) authorizes the vacation of any municipal street or alley, or part thereof, by passage of an ordinance by the corporate authorities of a municipality; and WHEREAS, the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the public interest will be served by vacating a certain alley located within the vicinity of Kensington Road and Wille Street, more accurately described herein. NOW, THEREFORE,..BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: The President and Board of Trustees find and determine that it is in the public inter,~s~ and the interest of the Village of Mount Prospect that,{he alley, legally described as follows, be vacated: Ail that part of the 16 foot public alley which lies East of and adjoining Lots 1 and 2 in the HuntziCker Subdivision together with all that part of the 16 foot public alley which lies South of and adjoining Lot 2 in the Huntzicker Subdivision and also that part of the 16 foot public alley which lies South of and adjoining the South line of Lot 2 aforesaid extended East 16 feet all in the Huntzicker Subdivision being a subdivision of Lots 32, 33, 35, and 36 in Block 1 in Randview Highlands Subdivision in the Northwest 1/4 of the NOrthweSt 1/4 and of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 34, Township 42 North, Range 11 East of the Third Principal Meridian, in Cook County, Illinois. SECTION TWO: That upon passage and approval of this Ordinance, the Village Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this Ordinance, together with the Plat of Vacation, attached hereto, with the Recorder of Deeds of Cook County, Illinois. SECTION THP~EE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and aft.er its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form, in the manner provided by law.
