HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes 54-02 11/19/2002VWL RESOLUTION NO. 54-02 A RESOLUTION APPROVING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE NORTHWEST TRANSIT CORRIDOR PHASE II ALTERNATIVES ANALYSIS WHEREAS, communities within the Northwest Transit Corridor are committed to determining and implementing a high capacity transit solution to help alleviate traffic congestion and increase individual mobility within the corridor; and WHEREAS, the Northwest Transit Corridor was recommended for further study at the conclusion of the Phase I Feasibility Study in June of 2000; and WHEREAS, on June 19, 2001, at the regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Village Board, Resolution No. 38-01 was approved, supporting the Village of Mount Prospect's participation with the Northwest Transit Corridor Municipal Task Force in the Phase I Feasibility Study, in an mount not to exceed $10,000; and WHEREAS, the Village of Mount Prospect agreed that the local match would be shared equally between those communities that formalize their involvement with the Task Force and the exact amount of the local share per community would be determined based upon the actual cost for the consultant's services and the number of communities that participate; and WHEREAS, on December 18, 2001, at the regular meeting of the Mount Prospect Village Board, Resolution No. 63-01 was approved, authorizing $2,000 to be funded by the Village; and WHEREAS, the local study hereby requires an additional $2,500 to be funded by the Village of Mount Prospect for studies and consulting services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: The Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect do hereby support providing an additional $2,500 to the Northwest Transit Corridor Municipal Task Force for the land use and financial plan studies. age 2/2 NW Transit Corridor Study SECTION TWO: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in the manner provided by law, and a copy of this Resolution will be forwarded to the Northwest Municipal Conference.
