HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3391 01/17/1984ORDINANf~ NO. 3391 AN ORD1/xlANCE A~ENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIE~NT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES THE 17th E~Y OF JANUA~f, 1984 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 20th day of January, 1984 ORDINANCE NO. 3391 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13 OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF MOUNT PROSPECT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: That Subsection A of Section 13.107 entitled "Number of Licenses", as amended, is hereby further amended by decreasing the number of Class "L" liquor licenses from Two (2) to One (1), and by increasing the number of Class "S' liquor licenses from Seventeen (17) to Eighteen (18); so that hereafter said Subsection A of Section 13.107 shall be and read as follows: " Section 13.107. Number of Licenses. Five (5) Class Three (3) Class Nine (9) Class Two (2) Class One (1) Class One (1) Class One (1) Class One (1) Class One (1) Class Fifteen (15) Class Eighteen (18) Class One (1) Class Six (6) Class A Licenses B Licenses C Licenses D Licenses E License G License L License M License P License R Licenses S Licenses V License W Licenses ~ECTION TWO: That Section 13.115 entitled "Closing Hours; unday Closing" of Chapter 13 of the Village Code is hereby mended in its entirety; so that said Section 13.115 shall. ereafter be and read as follows: " Sec. 13.115. Closing Hours; Sunday Closing. It shall be unlawful for all licensees holding liquor license classisfications other than Class "G" and Class "L" created under the terms of this Chapter to sell or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor at retail in the Village or to permit any person to consume any alcoholic liquor in or on any premises for which a license providing for consumption on the premises has been issued pursuant to this Chapter 13, between the hours of two ~'clock (2:00) A.M. to six o'cloCk (6:00) A.M. on Monday through Friday inclusive~ between the hours of three o'clock (3:00) A.M. to twelve (12:00) noon on Sunday; and on January 1 of each year said closing hours shall be from four o'clock (4:00) A.M. to twelve (12:00) noon. Bo It shall be unlawful for any licensee holding a Class "G" liquor license created under the terms of this Chapter to sell of offer for sale any alcoholic liquor at retail in the Village or to permit any person to consume any alcoholic liquor in or on any premises for which a license providing for consumption on the premises has been issued pursuant to this Chapter 13 other than between eleven o'clock (11:00) A.M. and ten o'clock (10:00) on Monday through Friday, inclusive; between the ours of eleven o'clock (11:00 A.M. on Saturday and three o'clock (3:00) A.M. on the following Sunday; and between the hours of twelve (12:00) noon and ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. on Sunday. It shall be unlawful foX'licensees holding Class "L" liquor licenses created under the terms of this Chaptez to sell or offer for sale any alcoholic liquor in or on any premises for which a license providing for consumption on the premises has been issued pursuant to this Chapter 13, between the hours of four o'clock (4:00) A.M. and twelve (12:00) noon on Sundays and on January 1 of each year, and between the hours of four o'clock (4:00) A.M. and six o'clock (6:00) A.M. on all other days of the year. D. It shall be unlawful for any premises for which a retail liquor dealers license has been issued pursuant to this Chapter to keep open fo.r business or to admit the public to any premises in or on which alcoholic liquor is sold at retail during the hours within which the sale of such liquor is prohibited; provided, that retail establishments,' restaurants, and clubs may be kept open during the said hours, but no alcoholic liquor may be sold or consumed by the public during such hours, but nothing contained in this Section shall be deemed to authorize any such retail establishment, restaurant or club to keep open for business or to admit the public to such premises at or during any hour when such premises are required tQ be closed by virtue of the regulations or restrictions imposed by any other provisions of this Village Code. " SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.
