HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 3457 09/04/1984 RDINANCE NO. 3457 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES THE 4th DAY OF SPETEMBER, 1984 Published in pamphlet form by authority of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, Illinois, the 4th day of September~ 1984 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PR©PERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT WHEREAS, in the opinion of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities of the Village of Mount Prospect, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the Village of Mount Prospect to retain ownership of the personal property hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect to sell said personal property at a public auction to be held on Saturday, October 13, 1984, at 11:00 A.M. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND-THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF MOUNT PROSPECT, COOK COUNTY~ ILLINOIS: SECTION ONE: Pursuant to Section 11-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, Illinois Revised Statutes, C24, Section 11-76-4, the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of Mount Prospect find that the following described personal property Inventory No. Year Make ASA057E404628 1978 AMC Model Min. SECTION TWO: Pursuant to said Section 11-76-4, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to see the afore- mentioned personal property now owned by the Village of Mount Prospect at a public auction on Saturday, October 13, 1984, at 11:00 A.M. at the Public Works Center, 225 West Dundee Road, Wheeling, Illinois, to the highest bidder on said personal property. SECTION THREE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Nozthwest Municipal Conference to advertise the sale of the aforementioned personal property in a newspaper published within the community before the date of said public auction. SECTION FOUR: No bid which is less than the minimum price set forth in the list of property to be sold shall be accepted. ECTION FIVE: The Village Manager is hereby authorized and may direct the Northwest Municipal Conference to enter into any agreement for the sale of said personal property. The auction shall be conducted and the auctioneer shall be compensated in the manner set forth in the contract attached hereto and made part of this ordinance. SECTION SIX: Upon payment of the full auction price, the Village Manager is hereby authorized and directed to convey and transfer title to the aforesaid personal property to the successful bidder. SECTION SEVEN: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, by a vote of at least three-fourths of the corporate authorities, and approval in the manner provided by law.
